For more than thirty years, Hospice and Home Care of the Blue Ridge has been honored to serve the our mountain communities as a nonprofit organization rooted in compassion, integrity, and service. From the beginning, our mission has been simple and unwavering: patients always come first.

Over the years, our reach has grown to include Mitchell, Yancey and Avery counties, as well as parts of McDowell, Burke, Watauga and Madison counties. While our service area has expanded, our commitment has remained the same—to provide the highest quality of care to every patient and family we serve. That commitment will never waver.

At the heart of our work are three guiding principles: Comfort, Love, and Dignity. These values shape every aspect of the care we provide and reflect our belief that true healing and support address the body, mind, and spirit.

Comfort begins with relief from physical pain and discomfort, supported by attentive medical care, personal assistance, and emotional and spiritual support. We recognize that physical comfort is often closely tied to emotional and spiritual well-being, and we strive to care for the whole person.
